How to choose the right transparent umbrella
Folding or dome
The folding model fits in a bag. The dome model comes down lower over the shoulders and protects better when rain blows in sideways, but it doesn’t fold.
For a wedding or photos
The transparent canopy lets light through: faces aren’t in shadow, unlike with a dark canopy. For a group, plan on several.
Care
A transparent canopy scratches and yellows if it is stored wet and folded. After the rain, leave the umbrella open to dry and wipe it with a soft cloth: it will stay clear for much longer.
